Build Yourself Daily
"Not by might, not by power but by Your Spirit God". -Zechariah 4:6 I know that I am nothing without God. Every day I am challenged to be greater than I was the day before. I try to make sure that I am operating in my gifts because I understand that my gifts make room for me.
The Bible says your gifts are to edify (build up). Therefore, what you are capable of doing should build up those around you. It's easy to complain and let life woes make you feel inferior. But, what if you chose to let what was designed to destroy you, build you? The ability to be built is the opportunity to reach your expected outcome; which should be the same expected outcome that God has for you in Jeremiah 29:11. The ability to be built will allow you to overcome odds and defy what has tried to define and defeat you.
I won't lie, for me, this walk and sacrifice is beyond the nice pictures, travels and amazing quotes. This walk takes sacrifice, obedience, suffering, letting go and sometimes holding on until God says let go. It's every day, forgiving others and forgiving yourself; loving those who don't want to love you and working unto those who treat you badly, as though you're working unto the Lord. And sometimes, I wonder if it’s worth it. But, I know it's worth it! When I look back on all the things I have had to go through to get to where I am today, I wouldn’t have grown without it. I would not have gained the wisdom, knowledge and understanding that I have today. I wouldn’t be able to be relatable and be as compassionate or have the drive and stamina that I acquire. It is amazing how trials and tribulations can strengthen a person.
It is very important to daily build yourself. If you're all in for building you, you will impact individuals who can teach others, that can encourage nations that will keep the cycle of greatness going.
